New Horizons, New Possibilities
This October, Santa Monica College launched applications for its second, groundbreaking Bachelor of Science in Cloud Computing, a high-demand tech field that offers graduates the possibility of well-paying jobs and better lives for themselves & their families. SMC in Focus brings you a Q&A with Computer Science & Information Systems Dept. Chair Howard Stahl, and the inspirational story of Cloud faculty Koda Kol. Plus, an in-depth look at how SMC is opening the door to new possibilities for adult learners and immigrants through a noncredit ESL class at SMC Malibu, an alumni success story from Stockholm, and an interview with Walter Butler, under whose leadership the SMC Library has been reimagined. Enjoy!
