APIDA Graduating Students Celebration
The APIDA (Asian Pacific Islander Desi American) Graduating Students Celebration recognizes and celebrates the achievements of students who as part of the APIDA community.

Black Graduating Student Celebration
The Black Graduating Students Celebration recognizes and celebrates the achievements of students who are part of the African-American and Black Community.
Led by the Pan African Alliance Affinity Group

Dream Graduating Students Celebration
The Dream Graduating Students Celebration recognizes and celebrates the achievements of students who are undocumented, DACAmented, and/or part of mixed-status families.

Lavender Graduating Students Celebration
The Lavender Graduating Students Celebration recognizes and celebrates the achievements of students who are part of the LGBTQIA2S+ community.

Latinx/e Graduating Students Celebration
The Latinx/e Graduating Students Celebration recognizes and celebrates the achievements of students who part of the Latina/o/x/e community.
Led by the Student Equity Center and Latinx/e Staff and Faculty
Graduating Student Celebrations are distinct from the college’s Commencement Ceremony, where degrees are conferred.
These celebrations are open to all SMC graduating, transfer, and certificate completing students. Participation is not limited by area of study, ethnic background, national origin, sex or gender identity. SMC aims to create an inclusive space that celebrates our intersectional identities while cultivating a sense of unity.
