I chose to work in the Student Equity Center to get out of my comfort zone as much as possible in a safe setting and also to help others who are apart of my city Compton and other low income areas feel seen on campus.

I have many ideas that I wanted to share with SMC to build a closer community here & found this department would best utilize my ideas as this center has so many resources to help all students achieve & reach an equal outcome & experience in college.
