At the Center for Wellness and Wellbeing (CWW) we provide a holistic range of timely, inclusive, culturally appropriate and effective mental health services to our diverse student body. The CWW also provides professional consultation to faculty and staff and promotes the personal wellbeing of students.

Spring 2024 Hours

Monday through Thursday: 9 a.m. to 12 p.m.; 1 p.m. to 5 p.m.
Friday (remote services only): 9 a.m. to 12 p.m.; 1 p.m. to 3 p.m.

We are located on the main campus in the Math Complex, room 75.

We are available for remote (video and phone) and limited in-person appointments. Appointments must be scheduled in advance. If you are interested in a same-day appointment, please call (310) 434-4503 to check for availability.

24/7 Emotional Support: Call 800-691-6003

  • Students can call 800-691-6003 at any time for free in-the-moment support from a mental health clinician affiliated with the Center for Wellness & Wellbeing. 

  • Faculty and staff can also call this number to consult about students in crisis when the Center for Wellness & Wellbeing is closed.

Services

Free Confidential, Short-Term Individual Counseling: Provided by licensed psychologists and advanced trainees under close supervision by the licensed staff.

Referral Services: Because our center provides short-term counseling, community referrals to appropriate agencies are offered for students in need of longer-term or more specialized services.

Consultations: Our center offers faculty, staff, and administrators the opportunity to get assistance dealing with challenging students, difficult circumstances and disruptive situations involving students.

Workshops and Training: We offer a wide variety of workshops and training on topics such as stress management, test anxiety, mindfulness, healthy relationships, mental illness, suicide prevention, and substance use. Please fill out our workshop request form if you would like us to present to your online classroom or meeting.
