To protect students and ensure accurate processing, SMC requires proof of identity for applications flagged for verification and to process financial aid.

Need to Get Verified?

Go back to CCCApply.
Sign-in with your OpenCCC account.
Click on “Edit My Account.”
Scroll to the bottom of the page and click on “Verify with ID.me Now.”
- You'll be redirected to the ID.me website.
  (It is crucial you verify through your CCCApply account)
- You will need primary or secondary documents like a government issued ID.
- Selfie-style photos will be taken.
- If you already have an ID.me verified account, you can use that.
- You'll be routed back to CCCApply once you complete the verification.

SMC will get your ID.me verification overnight, and will update our records.

Once the data is received, SMC personnel can continue to work on your admission application, financial aid application, or disbursement.
