Endless Possibilities, New Expanses
Volume XI, Issue 6, December 15, 2025
We wrap up 2025 with an issue of SMC in Focus highlighting how Santa Monica College continues to build new expanses—literally,
for example, through the new Math & Science Building, and metaphorically, through
students & colleagues who are building futures of creativity and excellence (and garnering
accolades near and far). This issue also makes a note of how the college’s Student
Equity Center—a space and community more vital than ever—promotes dialogue, honors
intersectional identities, and empowers students. Here at SMC, we continue to celebrate
the life-changing power of education—one student, one life, one story at a time.
