California State University, Stanislaus (Stan State), located in Turlock, California, is a public university established
in 1957 and part of the California State University system. The university offers
45 undergraduate degree programs and 38 graduate programs, including 22 master's degrees
and a Doctor of Education. As of Fall 2023, Stan State enrolls approximately 9,440
students, with 8,439 undergraduates and 1,001 postgraduates. The 228-acre campus is
known for its park-like setting, featuring ponds, streams, and shaded areas. Stan
State is recognized as a Hispanic-Serving Institution and ranks highly for social
mobility and affordability. The university's athletic teams, known as the Warriors,
compete in NCAA Division II within the California Collegiate Athletic Association
and the Pacific West Conference. Additionally, Stan State operates a satellite campus
