SMC Malibu's 2nd annual toy drive for the children of the Malibu Community Labor Exchange will be going on from November 6th through December 10th. Drop off locations for New, Unwrapped toys, sports equipment, or school supplies include the following campuses:
- Malibu 23555 Civic Center Way, Malibu
- Emeritus 1227 2nd Street, Santa Monica
- CMD 1660 Stewart Street, Santa Monica
- Bundy 3171 S. Bundy Drive, Santa Monica
- SMC Library 1900 Pico Blvd, Santa Monica
Spooky Selfie Backdrops, Creepy Treats, Movie and Scooby Doo Marathon in the Lecture Hall, Costume Idea: Favorite Movie Villain
Photo Contest - How It Works
- Take a fun picture of you (and your friends) in costume at SMC Malibu using the Halloween Backdrops (or anywhere you want if you can't make it over to campus)
- Post your picture to your Instagram by MIDNIGHT October 31st and be sure to tag @malibu24_7 with your picture!
- 3-5 finalists will be posted to @malibu24_7 for public voting starting Monday, November 3rd and ending Wednesday, November 5th (be sure to share with your friends to get more votes)
- The winner will be announced on @malibu24_7 on Thursday, November 4th

The next Santa Monica College Board of Trustees regular public meetings will be held on Tuesday, October 3, 2023, at 5:30 p.m. at the Multipurpose Room (Room 103 on the first floor), 23555 Civic Center Way, Malibu, next to the Malibu Library. Members of the public attending in person will be seated in the Multipurpose Room. The meeting will be held in-person and livestreamed.
