To enroll in credit classes, apply for admission at any time. You must be 18 years of age or a high school graduate. Step-by-step instructions are available.
Noncredit is a flexible tuition free program that offers short term certificates meant to assist you with entering the workforce or continuing your education. The Emeritus program is a noncredit, and free, lifelong learning program with classes designed for students aged 50 and up. The enrollment process for students interested in taking SMC Emeritus noncredit older adult classes at the SMC Malibu campus is the same as how you enroll in all Emeritus classes throughout the District.
Community Education at Santa Monica College is a not-for-credit, fee-based program focused on promoting personal enrichment and professional development.
