How to Get Ready for the New Semester

• All vending machines will be fully stocked with snacks and drinks on all campuses. 
• The Coffee Hut will be open Monday-Friday, 6 a.m. – 1 p.m. (hours may change). They will serve hot and cold drinks, pre wrapped sandwiches and salads.
• The Cafeteria will be open Monday-Friday, 8 a.m. – 5 p.m. Corsair Café and TCBY will be providing fresh, healthy meals, and an assortment of snacks and drinks.  Masks are required in the cafeteria at all times, except when you are eating. 
• The Bookstore will sell snacks, sandwiches and cold drinks.

Yes. Every Monday, Wednesday, and Thursday, you can visit Bodega (Food Pantry) to get free food and toiletries.

Check the Hours of Operations page for programs offering Drop-In Services. Some include: Admissions, Financial Aid, Cashier’s Office, and General Counseling.

Most of the main campus and off-campus sites have wireless coverage.

Currently, there are access points at:

  • Cayton Center
  • Clock tower
  • Drescher Hall
  • Humanities and Social Sciences buildings (HSS)
  • Library
• Bundy Campus
• Center for Media and Design (CMD)
• Performing Arts Campus (PAC)

Several of these access points also reach some of the adjacent areas.

Speak to your instructor to get authorization for a FREE Chromebook.

The instructor will then reach out on your behalf to Elease Juarez in the SMC Bookstore to make arrangements for you.

Students who are part of the SMC Promise program will be eligible to receive a free Chromebook through the bookstore. 

Yes, the Corsair Track is open for public access.

Hours are subject to change:

• Monday-Friday: 7:15 to 10 p.m.
• Saturday & Sunday: 8 a.m. to 10 p.m.  

The Campus Store is open Monday - Thursday, 8 a.m. to 7 p.m. and Friday, 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.

If you plan to park on the main campus or at CMD, you will need a parking permit. Permits and Permit pricing can be obtained from the Parking website.

Your parking permit will allow you to park at all the SMC campuses. Parking on the Airport, Bundy, and Malibu campuses is free, but you will still need a permit.

Note:

• If you had previously registered your vehicle, that information will still be in your record in iParq.  All you need to do is get your new permit.
• Permits are Virtual, and do not require a sticker or printed document. Officers will scan license plates in order to verify permit. 

Students can park on the main campus in Structures 3 and 4 on Pico, and Structure 2  under the Student Services Center (P3 only), as well as at the Satellite campuses. A student parking permit is required.

Students may purchase their permit on the Parking website.  

SMC has new ID cards, which are now printed and distributed by BankMobile.
