'Skills for Success' Workshops
Each semester, the History Department offers faculty-led Skills Workshops for students. The schedule of workshops begins the second week of Fall and Spring semesters. The first, in Week 2 of the semester, focuses on “Prep for Success,” behavioral strategies for achieving your academic goals. Workshops on Note-taking (Week 3), Reading Analytically (Week 4), and Essay Writing (Week 5) highlight specific skills. The Essay Writing workshop supports midterm essay writing, and an optional Essay Writing workshop supports Warner Essay Contest submissions.
Attend either live workshops or watch the recorded sessions. Online registration is required for both live and recorded sessions.
Links to recorded sessions will become available 24-48 hours after the live session.
Instructors will receive the names of students who attend an entire workshop.
