Business Tutoring Center

Welcome to the Business Tutoring Center! 

We offer free tutoring to all enrolled SMC students providing academic support in accounting, business, and economics courses. Tutoring is available both online and in person. Please refer to the schedule below to see when tutors are available for your class. The WCOnline appointment system through Corsair Connect will have the most up-to-date schedule.

Business Tutoring is currently unavailable for the summer. Tutoring will resume on September 3rd.

To Schedule an Appointment or Register for a Drop-In:

When making an appointment, choose the course you want tutoring for in the drop down menu. This will ensure you get the correct tutor for your course.

1. 1. Log in to Corsair Connect
   2. From the left hand menu, select Resources and Services. Then select tutoring.
   3. You will be brought to the appointment system. Use the menu to select the Business schedule.
   4. Select the class (e.g. ACCTG 1, BUS 5,...) you would like help with.
      
      1. During business hours, you can use the button on the scheduling page to connect to the Zoom to speak with the coordinator for assistance in scheduling. Alternatively, you can email them at gateward_deja@smc.edu
   5. Select the appropriate tutor at the best time and date for you.
   6. Fill in the information for your tutoring session, including any details you would like to share with the tutor in advance.

Currently, all tutoring on Friday will be online.

Faculty Recommendations

Faculty may recommend students as candidates for tutoring positions. Recommendations are accepted at any time and tutors are hired throughout the year as needed. To recommend a student tutor, please email Deja Gateward at Gateward_Deja@smc.edu.
