VIP Welcome Day

VIP Day is all about YOU, the new student! You're our "VIP's" here at SMC!
During our annual VIP Welcome Day events in the fall, you’ll have the opportunity to meet other students, join in on activities, tours, and workshops, and make valuable connections with SMC’s diverse community of faculty and staff.

Black Collegians Program The Black Collegians Program/Umoja Community at SMC is designed to assist students of African descent in transferring to four-year universities and obtaining their Associate degree. Transfer 101 This workshop will cover the basics of the California community college transfer process. We will focus on transfer to the UC and CSU systems and place particular attention on the partnership (Transfer Alliance Program) between UCLA and SMC’s Scholars Program. SMC Promise Program SMC Promise Program Workshop: Come learn more about SMC’s Promise Program, where eligible students can have their enrollment fees waived and receive up to $1000 in textbook fees covered if they are first time in college, straight out of a California high school and plan to enroll in college full time.
