Thank you for reaching out for basic needs support. This email is informational only. Basic Needs is now introducing TBH, a virtual basic needs support service for SMC students. TBH is a one-stop virtual platform designed to help SMC students access personalized basic needs support. Whether you are looking for help on campus, in your community, or through public benefit programs like CalFresh or Medi-Cal, TBH is here for you. You can get started by visiting the SMC TBH Portal (opens in new window) , logging in using your SMC username and password, and completing the benefits screener to tell us what resources you're looking for. Once that is complete, you can explore available resources, connect with live support, and book appointments with Basic Needs Counselors.
You can also visit the basic needs website (opens in new window) and follow the instructions there. In the meantime, here is some information on resources you can access to help address basic needs:
Bodega, SMC's first centralized food pantry (see our operating hours below), neighbors the main cafeteria on the east side across from Health Services. Any currently enrolled student is welcome to come by during operating hours and receive non-perishable food items, fresh produce, toiletries, clothing, and more.

Instructions:
- Log into Corsair Connect.
- Click on the "Resources and Services" tab on the left side of the homepage.
- Under the "Student Support" drop down menu, click on "Tutoring"
- If you don't have an account already, you will be prompted to fill in your personal information and REGISTER. Providing your cell phone number at the bottom of the page will allow you to receive text notifications regarding your appointment (recommended).
- Choose either the "Modern Language Tutoring – (semester)" tutoring center from the drop-down menu at the top-center of the page.
- Select your preferences in the "Find an Appointment" box at the bottom of the page. If you prefer to search for an appointment using the calendar display rather than the "Find an Appointment" search, click on the "View Calendar Display" link below the "Find Appointments" button.
- When you find a time and tutor you want, click "Reserve" and complete the pop-up box.
- Be sure to click "Create Appointment" at the bottom of the window. You will receive a confirmation email confirming the location, date, time and tutor. Please arrive on time.
