Eligibility
To be eligible and get the benefits of a TAG, you must meet the following criteria:
UC Irvine Transfer Admission Guarantee
- Majors that do not offer TAG: Art, Business Administration, Dance, Music, Nursing Science, and ALL majors in the
Donald Bren School of Information and Computer Sciences.
- Note: In addition to the current majors excluded from TAG, applicants applying for fall 2028 admission will no longer be able to utilize TAG for the following majors: Aerospace Engineering, Biological Sciences, Biology/Education, Business Economics, Cognitive Sciences, Computer Engineering, Ecology & Evolutionary Biology, Economics, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Psychology (B.A. and B.S.); and Quantitative Economics.
- By the end of Fall 2026, have a minimum 3.4 UC GPA.
