Helping faculty get what they need to bring the best possible education to students, and trying new ideas to improve the student experience and build on student success makes me #ProudToBeSMC.
The work-life balance has been difficult for me . . . but I am grateful for my family, friends and – yes – I got a COVID puppy we call Blaze. We splurge on really good coffee (Sunset Blvd from Caffe Luxxe) Long walks, the beach, the energy that my colleagues put into maintaining our high standard of instruction helped me stay positive. The look on their faces on Zoom was what kept me going.
