Art + food can inspire and uplift a community! Talk, tour of Hank’s Mini Market and exhibit of “BLKNWS” by Khalil Joseph (co-produced with LAND for the Hammer Museum’s Made in LA exhibit). Kelli Jackson, is the second generation owner of Hank’s Mini Market located in the Hyde Park community of South Central Los Angeles. Her family’s business has served the community for 23 years. In 2018, Kelli helped facilitate a large brick and mortar transformation project at Hank’s Mini Market. This project reinvigorated the store that now brings access to art, healthy food options, and safe spaces.
